Back to the Grind

Life is like... fruit. You ripen and then you rot.

Well classes started back last Thursday. I'm taking World Lit 2, Intro to International Relations and Scuba 2.  World Lit is actually fun because I like my teacher, but Intro to IR is horrible. It's so boring and I can't understand half of what the teacher is saying because he has a foreign accent. Scuba 2 should be a lot of fun, but there are only 6 people in my class.

My mother's birthday was also last Thursday. She turn the big 50. I went to Phenix City after class and the family went out to eat to celebrate. My father turns 58 on May 29th. It's hard to believe.

I take the LSAT on June 6th. I'm incredibly nervous. I've been trying to study, but I don't have much time because of school. I think I'm going to take one of the Kaplan Courses in the fall so that I will make a higher score on the one in October. I guess I'll just have to see how I do on this first one.

A Few Days In Paradise

 Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Life is like... therapy. It's very expensive and there is no guarantee.

On Tuesday I got back from my trip to the Keys. It was amazing. We went on 6 dives and saw some amazing things. I could have stayed there forever. It was beautiful and the water was so warm. I met some amazing people and my dive partner Philip was awesome.
Kody and I at the southern most point of the U.S. 90 miles from Cuba

I'm on the right.

I want to go back so badly. I'm taking Scuba 2 this semester so that I can go on specialty dives. I never knew I would enjoy diving this much, but I have definitely become addicted to it.

When we got back on Tuesday Kody, Justin, Brad, Audrey and I laid out by the pool all day and then got in the hot tub that night. We had some deep and funny conversations while we were in the hot tub

Yesterday Justin and I sat with Kody as he had his tattoo worked on. About 30 minutes into it the power went out and we sat in the waiting area for about an hour talking and waiting for it to come back on. Kody wasn't able to finish it yesterday which means he'll have to wait until he comes back to Auburn in August.

This morning Kody left for Pinckneyville. He said he would probably come back for a few days over the summer and Justin and I have been talking about going to visit him up there so we'll probably see each other over the summer. It just weird that I'm going to go from seeing him everyday to not seeing him for a month or two. I'll definitely miss hanging out with him.

Finals Week

 Wednesday, May 4, 2011

Life is like... a final exam. You stress about little details so much that when it's over you realize you missed the big picture.
Well my big finals are out of the way. So far I have a B in my International Relations class and I'm happy with that. I should find out the grade for my American Foreign Policy class any day now. I'm really hoping I got an A. I think the final went well, but it just depends on if he liked my essays. I know I'll get an A in jogging and scuba, but I'm not so sure how my World Lit grade will go. I got back my paper today and I got an A so that should give me a little wiggle room between a B and a C. Tomorrow I take my final for Comp 1000. I should be able to pull out a B in the class, and if I don't I'm going to be very mad at myself.
On Sunday I laid out with Audrey and got really sunburned. It's Wednesday and it still hurts. I don't care if it doesn't turn into tan, I'm just really hoping it doesn't peel very bad. I don't want to go to the Keys with a chest and back that looks bad.

On Friday we leave for THE KEYS!!!! I'm incredibly excited!! It's going to be so much fun. Scuba dive all day, party all night. Sounds like the perfect weekend to me.
