My Kind Of Weekend

Life is like the scuba diving... even when you're out of your element you just have to keep breathing.
This weekend was a blast.
It started off Friday night by hanging out with Audrey, Lindsey, Trey and Trey's sister and her friends from Tuscaloosa. We were just hanging out at Lindsey and Trey's until about 11:30 playing games and stuff. Then when everyone else went downtown I rode over to the intramural fields to pick up brad from the Alpha Chi's formal. Somehow I still managed to have fun doing even this.
Saturday I did the Mud Run with Kody and Jay.

We had so much fun. We nicknamed ourselves the Homeward bound Crew because apparently I looked like Sassy the first time I came out of the water. I have so many cuts and bruises on my legs, but it was so worth it.
Around 3 on Saturday Kody and I left for Vortex Springs. The drive down was really funny. First we almost hit a very big bird, then Kody almost got hit by a truck when were finally able to find a grocery store. Definitely made some memories.
We got there around 6:30 and went straight to set up the tent because we knew it would be hard to set up in the dark. I wish I had taken pictures of the campsite. After we finished there we joined everyone up at the grill to cook out and have a few beers. Around 10 the dive instructor told us to head back to our campsites but we all just went to the bonfire out in the back. We ended up staying up until about 12:30 just having a good time and doing stupid stuff. It was such great night.
Sunday morning Kody and I had eggs and bacon (Kody made it) for breakfast and then we headed down the the springs to do a little diving. I had to work with an instructor since it was my first time in open water and Kody got to go off with the friends we made the night before. I had a rough day because my ears wouldn't clear after about 20 feet so I didn't get to go very deep, but it was still a lot of fun and it definitely got me pumped for the Keys trip.
After we finished diving Kody and I drove down to Panama City Beach to see the ocean and eat some seafood. We walked on the beach for about 30 and put our feet in the water. I haven't been to the beach in a long time so it was nice to be reminded how big it is. After we ate we started our drive home. I tried to do some work on the take home test I had due today but I could not get motivated to do it.
We got back to Auburn around 9 and unloaded all of our stuff. I hung out for about 30 minutes talking to Justin and Riley about their weekends and then came home to start on my homework. Audrey stopped by for a visit to tell me about Chi Phi's King Party and all the fun she had there. It was a nice distraction from International Relations. After she left I worked on my test until 12 and then decided to call it a night.
Looking back now, I should have just worked through the night. I woke up at 5:30 to finish it and didn't get done until about 9:30. I had to skip my World Lit class because I knew I would not finish if I took an hour break. It wasn't my best work but all I'm really hoping for is a high C. That along with my in class portion will average out to a B.
Tonight in American Foreign Policy we got our tests back. While I knew I had to have made better on this one than I did on the last one I never expected to make what I did. A-!! I can't believe it. I was shocked when I saw the grade. Now if I can just make a decent grade on the final and the paper I will come out of the class with a B. I can deal with that.
So yeah, that was my weekend. Pretty great if you ask me.
